Here is a slightly angled view of the front of the house. You can see the add-on bonus sunroom at the back. |
 |
This is my woodburning [gas starting] fireplace. The bead board backing is gorgeous! I love the brick around the opening, but not the
hearth. That will be on my growing "to-do" list. |

Here is a view looking from front through the living room and into dining room. |

Nice sized dining room. There are hardwoods under the carpet. I will eventually pull it up, but the seller just replaced it, so
will leave it for now. |

The kitchen is my favorite part! Sure, it looks old and outdated, but those are SOLID maple cabinets, and they are in EXCELLENT shape.
I will sand/stain them and add some new trim and hardware to modernize them. The appliances all work except the dishwasher. Here is hoping
that they die within the 1 year warranty! But, you know, when the Kitchen was reno'd in the early 60's, these things were made to last. The oven
and stovetop may be newer as it appears that the wood just above the oven was patched in. |

Another pic of the kitchen. |

First floor laundry! Almost unheard of in a Cape Code house in Beechwold. I love it! There is also still a hookup [original] in the basement.
Interestingly, there is also a pretty sorry looking toilet in the basement, with a plastic utility sink that fits under the hot/water valves [no
hoses to sink] and drains via a plastic corrugated pipe into the floor drain, complete with a sump pump for that extra help. Who'd have done
such a thing???! |
I will add some more pictures later. I love my house! [grin]
